Elon Musk is know for his outside the box thinking, and what better way to fly through the all-new Tesla Giga Berlin factory than with a drone? That’s exactly what he did and this skilled drone pilot shows how the production line for the new Tesla Model Y works, starting with the many automated robotic arms. There are employees who monitor the painting process for each vehicle while also processing data to ensure they pass certain tests.
Why do you see only the Model Y being manufactured at Giga Berlin? It’s because the factory isn’t yet 100% finished, and the Model Y production building is just one of several buildings that make up the entire facility. For those wondering, Tesla’s 4680 cell production building is actually at a separate facility in Grünheide that has officially received the final approval, but cell production has yet to begin.
