Sleek and stylish, the track-only Ferrari 499P Modificata was developed directly from a race car instead of an existing production model, but without the limitations imposed by technical regulations. Power comes from a hybrid system consisting of a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine and an electric motor on the front axle that generate a combined 858hp.
The Ferrari 499P Modificata retains the cockpit and ergonomic single-seater layout of the 499P, while providing clients with exactly the same driving experience as the crews who drove the racing cars #50 / #51 that took the 24 Hours of Le Mans win. Its all carbon-fiber monocoque chassis sits on a push-rod suspension that includes a sophisticated braking system with brake-by-wire that allows the electric front axle to recover energy during braking. One caveat: pricing starts at $5.4-million USD, but it does come with a two year membership of Ferrari’s new Sport Prototipi Clienti program, which offers logistics, track-side assistance, and maintenance.
