Ford GT Color-Shifting
This isn’t the same chameleon paint you may have seen on some Fast & Furious cars back in the day, but rather a Mystichrome finish. Tech entrepreneur Justin Choi convinced Ford to paint his GT in this ultra rare color by paying a hefty $100,000 premium for the paint job alone. The first vehicle to receive this finish straight from the factory was a 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra. Read more for a video and additional information.



Depending on how it’s viewed, the Ford GT shifts from blue to green, violet, magenta, and even gold. As many already know, interested parties had to apply to be considered for a Ford GT built slot and if fortunate enough, standard colors could be ordered as well as custom ones. Ford officially confirmed that this is the only GT they will offer in the Mystichrome finish, but if you have the resources, a replica paint job could be had, or so we think.
