A Futuro house isn’t some UFO movie prop, but rather a real-life living space in which less than 100-units were built during the late 1960s and early 1970s. This particular one was built in 1974 and has been fully restored, keeping the original theme as well as 1970s vibe. Inside, you’ll find a few modern touches as well, including designer furniture (Luici Colani, etc.) and a game room with retro arcade machines.
These UFO-like houses were originally designed by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen, complete with an airplane hatch-like entrance. The structure itself is made of fiberglass-reinforced polyster plastic, polyster-polyurethane, and poly (methyl methacrylate). Unlike other Futuro houses, this one also has a pool, spa, sauna outdoor, shower and even a 1968 Concord Caravan for extra space in case you have guests. Interested in staying here?
