A user from a private Facebook group has allegedly gotten their hands on the Google Pixel 8a box, which provides us with a clear look at the handset. It is reported to have a 6.1-inch display, despite being slightly taller, narrower, and slimmer than the 7a.
The handset should be powered by Google’s Tensor G3 SoC and feature 8GB of RAM as well as 128GB of internal storage, similar to the Pixel 7a. Since this is a mid-range Google handset, the dual rear camera hardware should at least match the previous generation, or a 64-megapixel main sensor and 13-megapixel ultra-wide. We should know more in coming months about pricing ($499?) and a possible release date before it is officially announced at Google I/O in May.
