GoPro’s new flagship cameras, the Hero 8 and Max 360, have leaked ahead of schedule. The former has double the maximum frame rate of its predecessor, and gains the ability to shoot 4K footage at up to 60 fps or in HD at up to 480 fps. As you can see in the image above, the camera supports a wide variety of new accessories, including a mini screen of sorts that makes it easy for vloggers to capture footage of themselves as well as an LED light. Read more for images of the Max 360 and additional information.
The GoPro Fusion 360 camera released back in 2017 may not have been a huge hit, but the company is following it up with the Max 360. If this successor functions similarly, it should allow you to turn 5.2K (or higher resolution) spherical videos into traditional 1080p videos from any angle right on your phone or crop them into 18MP stills. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
