
Half Life 2 Episode 1 has received the RTX Remix treatment with path tracing, and it looks interesting to say the least in this new tech demo that was just released by ‘Skurty’. The assets were all upscaled using PBRify Remix, a set of AI models to upscale textures and generate PBR maps specifically for RTX Remix.
Keep in mind that this is still under active development, so there may be a few characters or weapons that still look off. On the bright side, the lighting appears to have been greatly improved. In this Half-Life 2 sequel, first released in 2004, players tackle a linear series of levels and encounter various enemies and allies. Gameplay consists of combat-oriented challenges and physics-based puzzles.
