Remember the Alaska Airlines emergency a few days ago? Someone apparently lost their iPhone when the emergency door / window blew out and it landed on Barnes Road in Portland, Oregon, where game designer Seanathan Bates tumbled upon the device.
We’re not sure what kind of case this iPhone 14 / 15 had on, but there appeared to be no damage whatsoever, nor was it password or Face ID locked. An email from Alaska Airlines shows they paid $70 USD for two checked suitcases, which most likely ended up at their final destination safely.

This doesn’t surprise me one bit! Small weight objects have chances of surviving such things, esp if it lands in a bushy or soft area. If I lost my phone that way, I’d be using the Find My Phone service on my laptop to try and track it down before the battery dies. Grab a rental car and go on an adventure!,” said Leuel48Fan on Reddit.
