Koenigsegg CC850 Supercar Megacar
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of CC8S, the company’s first production car, the Koenigsegg CC850 was revealed today and is filed under a new ‘megacar’ category. It’s currently the world’s most powerful manual supercar and will be limited to just 50-untis worldwide, with pricing yet to be announced.

Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 5.0L V8 engine generating 1,382 hp and 1,020 lb-ft of torque, mated to a revolutionary Engage Shift System (ESS), which functions as both a gated six-speed manual with a clutch pedal as well as a nine-speed automatic transmission. Taking it out for a summer beach run? It features the iconic detachable hardtop that the CC8S was known for. As for us, the CC850 sits right up there with the Koenigsegg RAW, their innovative three-seat supercar.

The CC850 is an homage to the single most meaningful car in Koenigsegg history. The CC8S put us on the map and made us successful – and celebrating 20 years of production, alongside my 50th birthday, felt like the right time to reveal the CC850 to appreciate our roots,” said Christian von Koenigsegg.
