You read that right, Lamborghini is holding a one-make racing series for the Urus in 2020, and the vehicles will be based around the Urus ST-X Super SUV concept. This concept features a roll cage, 25% weight reduction from the production model, FIA safety equipment, and larger front air intakes. It’s still powered by a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 641 hp and 626 lb-ft of torque. Read more for a video, additional pictures and information.
“The light weight, along with the raised set-up and torsional stiffening provided by a roll cage integrated in the frame, contribute to making the Urus ST-X Concept a race car for track and off-road use without compromise. Its track debut will take place during the 2019 Lamborghini World Finals,” said Lamborghini in a press release.
