Located at Jing’an International Center in Shanghai, China, the world’s largest Tesla supercharger station has 72 functional V2 Supercharger stalls that power up your vehicle at 150 kW. On a related note, there are 56 California stalls with 250 kW V3 chargers that generate a combined 14,000 combined kilowatts. However, this supercharger station is fully covered, which means that you and your vehicle will be protected from the elements.
Tesla’s massive Giga Shanghai factory has the capacity to produce up to 200,000 vehicles a year, and they just started making the Model Y, which is priced from $52,091 USD. China is now Tesla’s largest market after the U.S., with 120,000 units sold in 2020, and production is still ramping. The Model Y, an SUV crossover that has a driving range of up to 369 miles, aims to help the electric carmaker expand its product lineup and target on a larger customer base.
