Back in February 2021, LEGO announced that they were going to create a Sonic the Hedgehog set, thanks to a concept design submitted by 24 year-old, UK based, superfan Viv Grannell. Today, the LEGO Ideas (21331) set has leaked ahead of its official revel, and it consists of 1,125-pieces, complete with Sonic mini figurines. The design that you see here is slightly different, and that’s because Viv’s design was inspired by SEGA’s 2017 platformer Sonic Mania, rather than the original game from 1991. Once Viv completed the design, it managed to achieve the prerequisite 10,000 votes from LEGO fans worldwide. LEGO Ideas (21331) Sonic the Hedgehog is reportedly going to be released in January 2022, priced at $69.99 USD.

- The set includes a nine inch scale Giant Eggman Robot, a two and half inch Spin Attack posed Sonic figure and catapult
