Lucid Motors has finally revealed their production electric Air sedan in a global web broadcast from its Silicon Valley headquarters. With deliveries set for spring of 2021, the vehicle offers up to 1,080 horsepower available in a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive architecture, enabling it to complete the quarter-mile times as quick as 9.9 seconds on a consistent, repeatable basis. When deliveries begin, the Lucid Air is set to become the fastest charging electric vehicle ever offered, with the capability to charge at rates of up to 20 miles per minute when connected to a DC Fast Charging network, or in other words, up to 300 miles of range in just 20 minutes. The interior boasts a 34-inch curved Glass Cockpit 5K display that “floats” above the dashboard, while a retractable central Pilot Panel sits in finger-tip reach of the driver and passenger for more efficient control of the vehicle’s systems as well as functions.
