The third generation Maserati Ghibli (Tipo M157) is offered with three different 3.0-litre V6 engines: a twin-turbocharged 325 hp or 404 hp petrol and a 271 hp) turbodiesel, making it the company’s first production car to be powered by a diesel engine, mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. One New Jersey man decided to transform one of these into a stretch limousine, which is touted as the world’s first, complete with jet doors and under-glow lighting.
Apprently, the owner sold it to a Phildaelphia limousine rental outlet that is asking $1,500 for the first three-hours and $300 for each additional hour. On a related note, did you know that Maserati Ghibli is acutally the name of three different cars produced by Italian automobile manufacturer? That’s right, the AM115, a V8 grand tourer from 1966 to 1973, the AM336, a V6 twin-turbocharged coupé from 1992 to 1998, and currently, and the M157, an executive saloon from 2013 onwards.
