Remember the canceled Meta Smartwatch project last year? A new version of the wearable is allegedly still in development, and it still has dual cameras. No confirmed specifications have been revealed, although it should run a custom version of Android.
Aside from the dual cameras, it may be powered by a Qualcomm SoC, and there’s no word yet on what kind of battery or storage the smartwatch will come equipped with. What has been rumored is that the wearable could have metaverse functionality, or be used in conjunction with Meta’s other devices, possibly their upcoming mixed reality headset.

While the ‘V1’ has apparently been cancelled, Meta still wants to ship the device, so that users can start getting used to the form factor, which is supposed to eventually be used for other Metaverse-related devices,” said Kuba Wojciechowski.
