Launching July 17 for the Nintendo Switch, this new trailer for Paper Mario: The Origami King showcases his new paper techniques on his journey to untie the massive streamers binding the castle and take down King Olly. You’ll lead the character through vast regions full of surprises, complete with underground sewers, raging rapids, an ancient ruin, a ninja-filled mansion and even a vibrant desert oasis. This installment in the Paper Mario series offers new ring-based battles that require strategy as well a s quick thinking to line up enemies and execute perfectly timed attacks to maximize damage. Players require a sharp mind to determine when to stomp enemies with Mario’s boots, smash them with a hammer and strategically use items to heal or attack.
When Mario’s not duking it out in the ring, he can investigate suspicious spots to uncover hidden items, toss confetti to repair holes in the landscape, discover loads of Toads hiding in the scenery, play mini-games to earn in-game rewards, and revel in an abundance of secrets and treasures,” said Nintendo in a press statement.
