Nintendo Switch Lite
The Nintendo Switch Lite has been officially announced, and this device is designed specifically to play games in handheld mode. Available in three different colors (turquoise, gray, and yellow) and priced at $199.99 when it launches Sept. 20, the Lite sports integrated controls and is smaller than its predecessor, thanks to not having a kickstand or support video output to a TV. Therefore, the device will not come bundled with a dock or HDMI cable. Read more for a hands-on video, additional pictures and information.

If the game does support tabletop mode, players can wirelessly connect Joy-Con controllers to the Nintendo Switch Lite, which means a Joy-Con Charging Grip is required to charge them. “Adding Nintendo Switch Lite to the lineup gives gamers more color and price point options. Now consumers can choose the system that best suits how they like to play their favorite Nintendo Switch games,” said Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser.
