You could either turn a broken Nintendo Wii into an M1 Mac Mini, or cram a functional console into an old Sony CRT broadcast monitor. ShankMods did the latter, and Super Mario Sunshine gameplay ensued. These are the same broadcast monitors you see used in television stations as well as on broadcast vehicles, but they are missing one thing found on standard TVs: standard inputs. So, a custom monitor input card had to be fabricated, based on open source plans.
Now the kicker is that the monitor input card was a functional Nintendo Wii console, which means that after slotting it into the CRT monitor, there are even four ports in the back back to connect GameCube controllers. Best of all, no external power brick is needed, as the console draws everything it needs from the monitor itself. Interested? You can check out the open source plans here.
