Oura Smart Ring NBA
For the 22 NBA teams that will be stationed at the NBA Bubble in Orlando, Florida next month as the season continues, there will be a handful of technologies to help them avoid contracting COVID-19, including the Oura smart ring. This device can track and record physiological characteristics of the wearer, such as body temperature and respiratory rate. Read more for a video showing what the ring is capable of and additional information.

Using the collected data, the Oura smart ring can determine one’s likelihood of having contracted COVID-19 three days before symptoms are observed with up to 90 percent accuracy. Only when a player is notified that they could possibly have coronavirus will the recorded personal information be sent to health officials, otherwise it remains confidential. In addition to being water resistant and scratch proof, the ring lasts around 1-week on a full charge.
