Gino Lucci, an Air Force veteran, came across an old Doublas R4D airplane fuselage back in 2019, which was damaged by a tornado, and decided to purchase it for the cost of a used car. It didn’t sit there for long afterwards, as he dreamed of turning it into a fully-functional luxury RV. This luxury RV doesn’t just use the outer shell, but rather retains many of the original airplane parts. How so? The front fuselage was bolted directly to the delivery truck’s frame, while the air stairs still unfold from the right side and the plane’s intercom is still functional to boot. Other small details include engine cowlings turned wheel guards and even a play area for his son.
