Unlike its predecessor, the PS5’s new controller will allegedly have adaptive triggers that can change resistance as necessary, like when pulling an arrow back in a game. Plus, it’s rumored to have strong haptic feedback through voice coil actuators, which together with an improved built-in speaker, is intended to give better in-game feedback. You’ll also get USB-C connectivity, along with a higher-capacity battery, for marathon gaming sessions. As most would expect, the PlayStation 5 will boast a completely redesigned user interface and could be backwards-compatible with PlayStation 4 as well as PlayStation VR games, but the latter has not yet been confirmed by Sony.
