The 2021 Polestar Precept is officially heading to production, and while its exterior may not look too special, the technology inside may turn some heads. Featuring an HMI developed in cooperation with Google and based on Android, it boasts a 15-inch portrait-oriented center display, paired with a 12.5-inch driver display. It has eye-tracking and proximity sensors that deliver information in a controlled manner, and even warns users if they are spending too much time looking at the screen. There are still some high-tech features on the exterior too, including a SmartZone up front, which is basicaoly a transparent panel that replaces the traditional radiator grille, thus concealing two radar sensors and a high definition camera. That panel is enveloped by an evolution of Polestar’s Thor’s Hammer LED headlight.
