Project Usoyaro Human Washing Machine
Japan is known for many things, like this a TV that you lick to taste things, but Project Usoyaro might be one of the most unusual we’ve seen yet. During the 1970 Osaka Expo, Sanyo Electronics debuted an ultrasonic bathtub that cleaned and massaged its occupant in a 15-minute cycle. Science Co. Ltd. created a modern version they hope will be ready by 2025.

Project Usoyaro is essentially an AI-powered human washing machine equipped with fine bubble technology and multiple sensors to provide the best bathing experience ever. This aims to be a place of relaxation after a long day, complete with a built-in display that lets you catch up on your favorite shows or just soothing images. The sensors measures sympathetic and parasympathetic response – the fight or flight system – to determine the optimal atmosphere for your body. If things go as planned, you’ll see it at the 2025 Osaka Expo.
