Sony PVM-4300 CRT TV Largest
You’ve seen Watchman Portable TV, now here’s a rare look at the Sony PVM-4300, which is the largest known CRT TV ever made. Only 20 of these massive cathode ray tube televisions were exported to the US back in 1989, and due to the recession that began in 1990, its $40,000 ($101,312 in 2024) price tag most likely led to its demise.

It was advertised as a 43-inch model, but the part number suggests it boasts a 45-inch tube inside. This 450 pound behemoth stood approximately 27 inches tall, and couldn’t fit through most standard door frames.
