Honda Kong-based Team BlackSheep is known for their FPV drones and a recent stunt saw a crew member fly one into an active volcano, providing a view that most have never experienced.
For those who don’t know, FPV drones basically use a camera to transmit live video to a pilot’s goggles or a monitor in real-time. Just like VR headsets, the video glasses have built-in screens that enable the pilot to feel immersed in the view. The higher the resolution of the screens and the better the image quality, the more immersive the experience is. One caveat: these drones typically cost twice a standard model, or at least ones that include the headset.
