Tesla Model X Plaid vs Porsche 911 Turbo S Drag Racing
The Tesla Model X Plaid is a very fast electric SUV, but what about with six passengers in the vehicle? DragTimes wanted to find out, so they pit a Porsche 911 Turbo S against the full Tesla Model X Plaid in a drag racing showdown. This 5,333 pound tri-motor SUV generates a blistering 1,020 hp and 905.4 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 60mph in just 2.5-seconds.

As for the Porsche 911 Turbo S, it weighs in at 3,636 pounds, powered by a twin-turbocharged boxer 6 engine making 640 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to reach 60 mph in 2.6-seconds with the Sport Chrono package. Before you watch, just know that the first race is a throwaway since the Porsche 911 Turbo S was bit slow to leave the line, while the second race is where things get more interesting. On a side note, we don’t recommend using Tesla’s Smart Summon feature in a busy parking lot.
