The Simpsons Hit and Run Remake Open World Game
Reuben “Reubs” Ward is turning The Simpsons: Hit & Run remake made in Unreal Engine 5 into an open-world game, complete with online multiplayer, interconnected maps and improved vehicle physics. Previously, it took Ward just one week to complete the remake, but this open-world version that includes each individual map from the 2003 game, may take considerably longer to develop.

Not just a simple open-world game, this one aims to change the missions, in-game dialogue as well as the cutscenes using Ward’s own ‘Narrative Quest and Dialogue Editor’ plugin for Unreal Engine. There’s no word yet on availability, but joining Ward’s Patreon will unlock early access to videos and download links to this project. For those who want something with more of an arcade feel, there’s Arcade1Up’s The Simpsons arcade cabinet.
