Autonomous drifting looks fun, but TOM’s Racing debuted a TRD 3000GT-inspired A80 Supra restomod that you can actually drive. This vehicle was created to celebrate 50th anniversary of the racing team, and gives the MKIV Supra a new bodykit made from fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP).
There were only 35 TRD 3000GTs built in 1994 and each vehicle focused on improving performance by optimizing its dynamic ability, rather than increasing power. However, they did include engine-breathing modifications and an upgraded suspension, while primary focus was on replacing the heavy original bodywork with aerodynamically superior components made from fiber-reinforced plastic. TOM’s version features a new body kit, Brembo brakes and a number of engine upgrades, which have yet to be revealed.
