US Customs Border MQ-1 Predator Minneapolis
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) flew an unarmed General Atomics MQ-1 Predator drone over Minneapolis as protesters continue to protest against police brutality. It was first discovered on a flight tracking tool by members of the ADB-S Exchange, and is apparently surveying protests there.

This isn’t new technology, as the MQ-1 Predator was mainly used for offensive operations by the U.S. Air Force and CIA in Afghanistan as well as the Pakistani tribal areas from 2001 until the introduction of the MQ-9 Reaper. Due to its technology, Predator’s capabilities are classified by the U.S. and despite the United States Air Force retiring the Predator in 2018, some are still used for surveillance missions, like this one in Minneapolis.
