Worlds Fastest Roomba Robotic Vacuum
There are all kinds of vacuums, including one that can sort LEGO bricks by size, but this is unofficially the world’s fastest Roomba. An inventor who goes by ‘electrosync’ took one of these old robotic vacuums, gutted it, and then installed brushed DC 775 motors that run through a 3:1 planetary reduction gearbox.

The new motors weren’t plug-and-play, as they required 3D-printed mounts to fit properly into the existing chassis. Last, but not least, 3D-printed wheels finish off the drivetrain, while the original Ni-MH cells were swapped out for a pair of 3-cell lithium polymer batteries for additional power. Just how fast is this upgraded Roomba? Well, a Bluetooth GPS device clocked the first run at 22 mph. New urethane rubber-clad wheels and an upgraded anti-wheelie device were then installed to help it achieve 30 mph. However, it wasn’t until 4-cell batteries were added did it hit 35 mph.
