Believe it or not, a street-legal 2006 Ford GT, called ‘BADD GT’, manage to hit 310.8 mph at Space Florida’s launch & landing facility, driven by Johnny Bohmer. It achieved this by swapping out the original supercharger for a twin-turbocharged system that generates approximately 2,700 hp.

Does this vehicle look familiar? If so, that’s because it set the Guinness World Record for the ‘Fastest Street Car in the Standing Mile’ back in 2012 when it hit 283.232 mph. Those who attended the South Florida Toy Rally 2022 this past weekend may have caught a glimpse of it in person. Although the 2006 Ford GT retailed at $150,000 USD, they now command upwards of $400,000 if kept in showroom condition and / or how it was optioned.
