It’s official, the 2021 BMW M4 is coming soon and more powerful than ever. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine generating 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque in the standard model, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, enabling it to accelerate from 0-to-60-mile-per-hour in 4.1 seconds. Or, if you want to pay a slight premium, the M4 Competition makes 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic, hitting 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. On the inside, the center console now sports a new model-specific M Mode button. When pressed, you’re greeted with an M Mode settings screen for making adjustments to the engine, suspension, and steering. Drive modes include Efficient, Sport, and Sport Plus, while the exhaust system even gets a pecial M Sound button that gives it a throatier growl. The standard model is priced from $71,800 and the Competition begins at $74,700.
