2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Nurburgring Test
The 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is going to be officially revealed on August 17th at 11:00am EDT, but earlier this week, it was spied testing at Germany’s famed Nurburgring race track. No technical specifications have been confirmed, although it is expected to be powered by a naturally aspired 4.0L six-cylinder engine making more than 512 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque.

For comparison purposes, the 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 managed to lap the Nurburgring in 6:59.927, so the GT3 RS should easily be able to exceed that time. Aesthetically, it includes a revamped splitter, a new bonnet with larger vents, louver-equipped front fenders, and a massive rear wing. One thing we can guarantee is that the production model won’t have an exhaust that looks like this Bōsōzoku-inspired GT3 RS.

The new 911 GT3 RS is even more optimized for track use than its predecessors. The incredibly responsive, high-revving four-liter, six-cylinder boxer engine with approximately 500 hp has proven ideal for use at track days and club sport events. That’s why we focused primarily on aerodynamics and chassis areasin the development of the new 911 GT3 RS,”said Andreas Preuninger, Director GT Model Line.
