Ever wonder what an original Microsoft Xbox development kit prototype looked like? Well, you’re in luck, as Xbox creator and designer Seamus Blackley shared an image of the prototype that he used during the development of Microsoft’s first game console.

Released on November 15, 2001 in North America, the Xbox was designed around standard PC components such as a 733 MHz Intel Pentium III CPU and a 233 MHz Nvidia GeForce 3-based NV2A GPU. It was actually the first game console to come equipped with a integrated hard disk as well as direct support for broadband connectivity to the internet via an integrated Ethernet port.
