Engineered Arts’ Ameca previews what AI humanoid robots will be capable of in the future, and one of the most interesting features is voice cloning. Thanks to OpenAI’s GPT-4 API, it can not only answer questions intelligently, but also mimic celebrities like Morgan Freeman.
A new vision system enables Ameca to accurately identify real world objects, such as an anatomical model o a human head. Sure, it may have taken a second try to get it right, but we imagine this would be near instant in the next version. One thing we have yet to see is Ameca demonstrate the abilities of its human-like artificial body, powered by Engineered Arts’ Tritium robot operating system.
