The Apple Electric Car Project is well underway and it’s rumored that the vehicle could use a Tesla-inspired carOS platform running on a dashboard similar to what you would find on the Model 3. Taiwan-based DigiTimes reports that the company is currently developing a bespoke software platform capable of controlling all driving as well as infotainment functions, whether it be starting the car or just playing a song. Apple’s carOS would work in tandem with a Domain Control Unit (DCU) to handle all of the necessary data that needs to be processed while driving. When is it going to hit the road? Well, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo initially stated that the Apple Car should be released by 2025, but since then, several team members have left to join other companies, thus possibly pushing back its introduction to 2028 or later. One place you probably won’t find the Apple Car is at this Darth Vader house.
