Elon Musk claims the new Tesla Roadster will be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 1-second. After a few delays, the vehicle’s production and design elements are now complete, with the company planning to deliver the first unit(s) by next year.
There’s no word yet on what Tesla Roadster variant is going to able to achieve this time, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was the ‘SpaceX Edition’, which supposedly has 10 small rocket thrusters arranged seamlessly around the vehicle. As for the base model, it should be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds, 0-100 mph in 4.2 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of over 250 mph. On a full charge, you can expect around 620 miles of range.
