At $256,500 USD, the 2019 McLaren 600LT Spider sports a retractable three-piece wear-resistant hardtop and is actually 220 pounds lighter than the 570S Spider due to its carbon fiber MonoCell II chassis. It’s powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 engine producing 592 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, good for a blistering 0-60 mph time of just 2.8 seconds, and a 201 mph top speed. A fixed rear wing generates 220 lbs of downforce at 155 mph (250 km/h), the same as the Coupe version. Read more for a video, additional pictures and information.
Inside, you’ll find lightweight Alcantara trim and Carbon Fiber Racing Seats from the McLaren P1 or you can opt for McLaren Senna-sourced Super-Lightweight Carbon Fiber Racing Seats (comes with the MSO Clubsport Pack). For even more weight savings, there’s audio and climate control delete, which should shave some precious seconds off lap times during track days.
“Once you’re ready to feel the wind in your hair, you can lower the powered retractable roof at speeds of up to 25 mph (40 km/h). The 600LT Spider can now be ordered from official McLaren retailers, although keep in mind that availability will be limited, with build slots scheduled around other Sports and Super Series models,” reports Car Scoops.
