The Polestar Precept, set to make its official debut at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show next week, will give the Tesla Model S a run for its money if it goes into production. This all-electric vehicle boasts a SmartZone up front, which replaces the traditional grille with a transparent panel that conceals two radar sensors and a high definition camera, all surrounded by an evolution of Polestar’s Thor’s Hammer LED headlight.
The interior features sustainable materials that balance modern high-tech luxury with reduced environmental impact. Seat surfaces are 3D-knitted from recycled PET bottles, while bolsters and headrests are made from recycled cork vinyl. Carpets have been crafted from reclaimed fishing nets, but the highlight is the next generation HMI, powered by Android. This builds on Polestar’s close collaboration with Google and consists of a portrait-oriented 15-inch touchscreen and a 12.5-inch driver display.

Precept is a declaration, a vision of what Polestar stands for and what makes the brand relevant. The car is a response to the clear challenges our society and industry face. This is not a dream of a distant future, Polestar Precept previews future vehicles and shows how we will apply innovation to minimise our environmental impact,” said Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO.
