The Porsche 911 GT3 by Mathey-Racing managed to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:55.737, a full 4.19 seconds faster than without the tuner’s Performance Kit. This was made possible by a larger spoiler lip and side flaps at the front of the car. When combined with the modified air guide elements on the underbody, downforce is increased on the front axle, while the swan-neck-supported wing of the 911 GT3 is even wider with a tear-off edge (Gurney).
Suspension wise, moderate changes were made to the spring rates (10% higher on the front axle, 7% lower on the rear) helped improve on-the-limit handling, without making any compromises for daily driving. A lightweight OM-1 forged wheel set (20″ / 21″ staggered setup) in Brilliant Silver, Dark Silver, Neodyme or (satin-gloss) Black reduces unsprung mass by 7.3 kilograms. Other options include: special racing brake pads, door projectors and illuminated door sill guards with the Manthey logo. Available now, priced from $40,642 USD. Or, you could just get a 100-hour detail and paint protection on your 911 GT3.

The 911 GT3 with the Manthey Performance Kit was able to unleash its full potential on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the traditional test laboratory for sports cars at Porsche. With Porsche works driver Kévin Estre at the wheel, the modified GT sports car ripped round the 20.6-kilometre course in Germany’s Eifel region in 6:55.737 – 4.19 seconds faster than the standard 911 GT3 did a year earlier. Both vehicles were equipped with the optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres. The lap time was certified by a notary who was present on site,” said the tuner.
