The Tesla Model S Plaid fared quite nicely against the Lucid Air Dream Edition, but what about Porsche’s flagship EV, the Taycan Turbo S? First off, the 1,111hp and 1,025 lb-ft of torque Lucid Air Dream Edition is definitely not an EV that even supercars would want to race in a straight line, much less an electric vehicle. The Porsche Taycan Turbo S boasts a 761 hp and 774 lb-ft of torque electric powertrain that enables it to hit 60mph in just 2.6.seconds, but is that enough?
Both EVs weigh in at over 5,000-pounds, with the Lucid Air Dream Edition weighing 150-pounds more than the Taycan Turbo S. As you might have already guessed, the Porsche has a hard time even keeping close with the Lucid, even with its two-speed gearbox. However, it does quickly get off the line, thanks to its overboost function, the vehicle quickly falls behind in all runs.
