H/t: Car Scoops
Elon Musk announced that the Tesla Cybertruck is officially set to arrive in showrooms next year and says that the vehicle can even float without any major damage. That’s right, just like the Tesla Model S, the Cybertruck can be used as a makeshift boat for short periods of time, with thrust coming via wheel rotation.
This Tesla Cybertruck knockoff was spotted in Lonavala, western India, and while it may look similar to the real thing, the vehicle most certainly won’t float in water. However, the real Cybertruck can serve as a boat to cross rivers, lakes and even seas that aren’t too choppy. We expect more of these knockoffs / replicas to appear as mass production nears for Elon Musk’s highly anticipated Cybertruck.

Here's a recent aerial image of the ship channel in reference to @elonmusk tweet regarding a Cybertruck crossing the ship channel from Starbase to South Padre Island.
I calculated a 15-25 min trip if the channel route to SPI is used vs 49 min trip it currently takes. pic.twitter.com/ZodQ1BZezu
