A Xiaomi patent filed with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) and published on August 5, 2019, reveals a folding smartphone that they could be working on. It boasts one large flexible display that you can be folded in on either side, while the back has a triple rear camera setup. Read more for the patent sketches, additional pictures and information.

As you can see from the renders, this smartphone is a lot thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Fold, while the three cameras are placed vertically apart, which means you’ll have to first unfold the device fully before you can snap photos. The camera specifications have not been revealed, but based on past models with this same setup, one should be an ultra wide angle lens and another, a telephoto lens with 2x zoom.

While you can’t see a selfie camera, Xiamo has already demonstrated an under-display camera that is not visible, or at least when the screen is turned on. The lower section features a USB Type-C connection, and unfortunately (or fortunately), no 3.5mm headphones jack.
