The 2023 BMW M2 is set to be officially revealed on October 11th, but a production vehicle without camouflage has allegedly leaked. Power is rumored to come from a twin-turbocharged S58 3.0L inline six engine making around 453 hp and 437 lb-ft of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed M Steptronic gearbox.
If those numbers don’t excite you, BMW is also allegedly working on a high-performance M2 CS or CSL variant that would boost output to around 473 hp, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox sending power to the rear wheels. Plus, these the CS or CSL would also have an upgraded suspension and brakes. Pricing is expected to begin at $60,000 USD for the standard coupe and $64,000 for the Competition Coupe. However, it may be a while longer until we see a 2023 BMW M2 police car.
