Set for release this summer in Europe, the 2023 Honda EM1 e: is the company’s first electric scooter and aimed at the younger crowd looking for easy urban transport. Its compact, flat-floored design makes it easy to park when out on short trips around the city or just a journey to work or school.
The EM’s (Electric Moped) power comes from a single electric motor making 2.3 hp and 66 lb-ft of torque, good for a top speed of 28 mph, connected to a removable 50-volt Honda Mobile Power Pack e: with a maximum range of 30-miles on a full charge in ECON mode. Available in Pearl Sunbeam White, Digital Silver Metallic and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, the Mobile Power Pack powers the battery from 25% to 75% with a 160-minute charge using a 270W air-cooled charger at home. The EM1 e: is the first Honda EV two wheeler for customers in Europe, and the first model to be unveiled following Honda’s announcement of its plans to introduce 10 or more electric motorcycle models globally by 2025. It is a significant first step towards meeting Honda’s stated aim of carbon neutrality for all its motorcycle line-up during the 2040s,” said the company.
