Lotus was a dominant force in Formula One for many years, especially in the 1980s, but since then, the automaker has only dabbled in motorsports. Automotive designer Maitreya Dhanak hopes to change that with his ultra sleek Lotus Evanora concept. This all-electric supercar boasts an open-top roadster design that somewhat resembles the F1 cars of today, complete with exposed mechanical components. Read more for additional pictures.
You won’t find a normal hood, just openings that allow easy access to all of the engine components as well as the carbon fiber suspension. A large front splitter and minimalist windshield provide maximum aerodynamic efficiency when on the track. Rear-facing cameras replace traditional wing mirrors, while LED taillights and a carbon fiber wing are the finishing touches out back.
