The never before seen Porsche Vision Renndienst was actually completed in 2018, but never made a public appearance for unknown reasons. This week, the company revealed this concept and it would have been perfect for transporting cargo this holiday season. It boasts seating for six with a central driver’s seat, while all of the electric-powertrain components are mounted underneath the floor. Unfortunately, Porsche did not reveal what kind of powertrain a functional prototype would be equipped with. Read more for a video, additional pictures and information.
Porsche created the Vision Renndienst to see how the company’s design language could be applied to an entirely different vehicle segment. If the prototype were to eventually go into production, expect it to be a cross between the Taycan and Macan crossover. How much would such a vehicle cost? Well, considering the base model Taycan is priced from $103,800, expect this minivan to start around that range, if not slightly pricier.
