Game concept designer Zhiheng Guo wanted to pay tribute to an iconic Italian supercar, and so he came up with the Ferrari 288 GTO Hommage. The original was basically a homologation of the Ferrari 308 GTB and designated to compete in the new 1982 Group B Circuit Race series. Power came from a twin-turbocharged 2.9L V8 making 395 hp and 366 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

This modern concept retains the wedge shape, but adds a few more aerodynamic lines, notably along the rear panels. Instead of traditional headlights, the Ferrari 288 GTO Hommage concept has thin LED strips and this same design language can also be found in the rear taillights. For those who don’t know, the original Ferrari 288 GTO was never federalized for sale in America, but some did obtain it as a grey import vehicle.
