Geoff Budd’s custom-built electric Acura NSX recently made an appearance at Holley High Voltage and it turned many heads to say the least. How did this project come about? Well, Geoff stumbled upon a high-mileage example with a Honda K-Series engine swapped in, so he thought why not take it one step further than turn it into an EV?
Geoff then proceeded to swap in a 2014 Tesla Model S powertrain that is connected to batteries located between the front seats and engine bay firewall, where the fuel tank was installed previously. This means that the vehicle now makes 302 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, which is still an upgrade to the factory numbers, as the original 3.0L V6 generates 270 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque, mated to either manual or automatic transmission.
- Eye-catching black design, compact at 28 lbs, 220 lbs max load. Age: 16-50. Height: 3.11-6.6".
- High-performance battery: Dual 400W motors, 10 mph max speed, 13.7 miles per charge, 15° slope.
- Illuminating LED lights for visibility.
